ok i ripped this from my bboy.org entry, i was too lazy to re-type it

so, it was utterly a fuckin mess for like all of last nite when we had lost our fifth crew member, but then we got there and the organiser of the event said it was ok to take on a random breaker bc we were down a man. so we were back to 5...

first round....
we beat ryerson university easily!!!
i have to share my set:

this huge asian dude was mocking me doing tops when i first came out..doing a girly dance, so i went hardcore and pulled a face at him, and then went over in their direction and jumped into a elbow freeze, and held it for several secs! damn, i got some props, i think people expect a chick to do like nothing sometimes (especially since the other chick there, the only other chick there had like only a few techs, which she was good at, but she was too low to the ground)...anyhow, so from there i go into footwork, which i've been trying to fill with techs, its all a blur so i dont remember what was in there, but lots of shuffles...and them i go to a chair and then roll into another chair, and tranisition up into a side freeze (my little combo)....and then more footwork, then into a one handed ground freeze, which i didn't hold for as long as i wanted, but whatever......my crewmate jasper says i got props! i was totally tuning out the crowd!

we took that battle easily!!!!

next, we were up against the uni of york, and behold, they consisted of none other than the guys from funk fanatics, one of the big/awesome crews in the tdot!!! arrgghhh the winners draw couldn't have been worse!! so we did our best, and one of the three judges said we took it! (york was only 3 guys against our 5 however, but still with the skill they have, they could kill any one of our guys, but as a crew we did well and they DID NOT SMOKE US like we expected!)

but...my set was aight...

tops to a pike ( ididn't get a chance to do any drops which i regret bc my next 2 sets would have included ones) and then to footwork with techs and shuffles and reverse footwork, then to a chair to a airchair which i held for longer than i usually do, luckily, some more footwork,a nd i ended in a forearm pike (this was my pike set). it was aight!!!!


my first battle and now i'm dying to go again once i nail some more moves!!!!!!

Guess what?? The inverts are back in full force!! I don’t know what’s going on with them these days as I had them down cold for a while, then the ability disappeared after I wasn’t practicing them as much, now they’re back and better than ever as my legs now go straighter! Whooo hooooo

Not much else new, just a big old house party at the bars we cypher at!

So it’ll be huge, hopefully we can get some frosh to start dancing a sits frosh week and they’ll all be out, if anything I want to discourage the bootay dancing here in town.

so the crew is almost back together, jay, and javi were kickin it last nite at van goghs, it was dope! i was a little off, i had been walking about all yesterday in high heels and my feet were covered in blisters....my sets were fine i just didn't do as much of them as i usually do, but thats ok, next week we're doin it up for frosh week (i hate frosh week especially now that i'm a grad, geezzz its pathetic, reguardless there'll be loads of peeps in the bar to entertain, we should start putting out hats for change!), beware gangstas! no c walking on our turf! hahaha

oh and i'll be taking a pic of my new belt buckle..it says tinyD on it, it sick!

hello again. today im writing with no capital letters. why you may ask? no reason, i felt like it to be quite honest!

not really much new to update. whatever progress i got on my inverts, i seem to have lost it. oddly enough i had them for like a two weeks, pretty good at that, and then i didn't do them for a while, and they've vanished! but on a good note i'm making a wee bit of progress on my mills, so far i have an nyc backspin, thats a backpin from a handglide just to clarify...but i cannot figure out how to get back inot a handglide, we'll see.

thats all for now i guess, until next time. oh yeh just to add, the battle is coming up and i am in no way prepared...scary stuff!

Hi everyone. Its me again, surprise, surprise. Not much is news here. I didn't do much in the way of bboying lately, i've been quite lazy as of late actually. The other Night at Van Goghs was great, a smaller turn out this week, but what can you do. I was also looking forward to Lorenzo making another appearance, but alas, he did not show. Jay ( a crewmate) was back in town and was supposed to come out, but also never showed. Word on the street is that he went to Niagara Falls with 2 Asian Broads he met whoo hoo hahahaha. Well in the next two weeks or so we'll be back together almost in full, so the onslaught of the guelph bboys will begin, finally! it's been really hard trying to be lively when there's only 3 bboys sessioning for like 2 hours, I get way too tired and we've all seen one anothers moves at this point, so we need some new blood in the game!

My headspins are coming along better, Chris and Dave were watching them closely and telling me exactly what I was doing wrong and what I should be doing to prolong the spins, and they're working out alright. I'm going to be working on my mills soonish....for the life of me I can't seem to get the elbow to drop. Dave says to push backwards, so i'll give it a go!
